We are based near Rye in East Sussex, so we cover the area to Bexhill on Sea to the West, to Hawkhurst to the North, to Lydd to the East and surrounding areas and pretty much everywhere south of these places without getting our feet wet!
The area line is approximate, it is a guide and we may travel further, if in doubt give us a call.
On our arrival we will prepare the immediate area with clean ground sheets and assess the appliance to be swept, visually inspecting the flue prior to sweeping.
When it comes to the sweeping process we still carry the traditional sweeps brushes but prefer to use a more modern rotary sweep system sometimes referred to as power sweeping.
This system is in our opinion is a much more efficient method of clearing the flue of soot and other deposits that may form.
The flue is then swept up and down the full length of the flue, passing the brush or whip-head several times through each section to ensure the flue is as clean as can be, if for any reason we can't get the brush out of the terminal (the chimney pot or chimney cowl) we will discuss and advise accordingly.
With the aid of an industrial vacuum all the soot is removed from the appliance.
Once done, we will issue you a NACS chimney sweep certificate for you to keep for your records, it acts as proof for insurance companies and other interested parties that your chimney has been swept professionally.
As professional chimney sweeps, we are fully insured ourselves, so in the very rare case that something does go wrong, we can put it right!
After booking an appointment we will give you a 2 hour window of arrival, if for what ever reason we can't keep our agreed time we will call you and let you know our revised estimated time, sometimes work can take longer than planned, however this doesn't happen very often.
We sweep Open fires, Inglenooks, Woodburners, room heaters such as Parkray's, convector box types like Jetmaster's, Tortoise, Squirrel and ranges such as Rayburns, Aga's, Esse and the like.
Pretty much anything that has a fire in it!!
